Kobe Bryant fined for $100K for slur

Kobe Bryant just cant catch a break.

Yesterday he was fined $100 by the NBA for a gay slur that David Stern called “offensive and inexcusable.”

After getting a technical foul during Tuesday’s game against the Spurs, Bryant went to the bench, punched his seat before settling down, tossed a towel and then yelled “Bennie!” directing towards referee Bernie Adams. He then leaned back and mouthed a gay slur.

Bryant commented on Wednesday afternoon, “What I said last night should not be taken literally,” he said. “My actions were out of frustration during the heat of the game, period. The words expressed do NOT reflect my feelings towards the gay and lesbian communities and were NOT meant to offend anyone.

$100K? I think thats a little much, but to him thats petty cash. It was unfortunate the camera had to pan to him and catch the whole situation go down.

What do you think, is the fine too harsh??
