Bruins Take 4 Points on Road Trip and Strengthen Grip on The Atlantic Division

By Ryan Whitfield

The Bruins seem to have awoken. Their win against Philly just over a week ago has sparked a 5 game stretch where the Bruins took 8 points and seemed to have found their groove. The Bruins, as I said all along, are a resilient bunch and thats showing now. With a 5 point lead with 7 games to go and a game in hand over Ottawa that scare can be put to bed. Furthermore, the Bruins have some breathing room as the 2 seed. Most importantly though is that with the standings with what they are now and Turco’s play last night Thomas should finally get some rest. The best news of all is that the Bruins now have a problem regarding an embarrassment of riches. The problem is who to sit? Last night it was Paille, but that will not be the case in the post season. The Campbell, Paille, and Thorton line will be in tact. The top two lines will be Lucic Krejci and Seguin, and Marchand Bergeron and Peverly. The third line will be Kelly and Rolston. Rolston is that Mark Recchi type veteran and now that hes become acclimated hes become a bonafide stud as of late. That leaves one last wing position and the battle is between Polliout and Caron. Jordan Caron has played well though he has cooled down as of late, but he has in no way played him self out of the line up. Unfortunately for him, Polliout has played himself into a guaranteed spot. Hes big, physical, and as of late a point machine. Regardless for a team who had collapsed all of the way to 7th place last week this is a nice problem to have, especially again sitting a top of the Eastern Conference.
