Emo Monday’s: The Used “Buried Myself Alive”

By Ryan Whitfield

Burt may be one of the worst live singers, but his energy and passion make it enjoyable. This is easily one of my top three favorite songs from The Used ever, and live it takes on even more rawness and edge. The Used was one of the first bands I really got into and love them to this day, enjoy.

  1. i’m with you on that! ‘the used’ was my gateway band into music with screaming vocals. their first album…so good. i think they got a bit too pop after that… or at least it was overproduced, imho.

    • I agree. Their first album was raw and edgy yet had a wonderful pop essence. After that the majority of their music were pop songs and over produced. Now I look huge production on Drums and Bass, I love that deep bass sound. But for vocals and guitars I look that edgy sound, high distortion and full of energy. Thanks for reading the article. We do Emo Monday’s every week so make sure you check that out.
